A detailed schedule by categories (with tatami numbers) will be published a few days before the competition. Competitors must be ready for their category at least 30 minutes before the category start.

PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Karate gloves, shin and foot protectors, body protector and mouthguard are mandatory for all competitors in kumite (including body protectors for all boys’/girls’ age groups). For female competitors in cadet/junior/U21/senior categories, chest protectors are also mandatory. Groin guards and face masks are optional. Protective equipment must be designed in WKF style but does not have to be WKF-approved.
RULES – GENERAL: Only competitors registered with the HKS may participate (registration of new members is free of charge). All competitors must have a valid medical examination not older than 6 months. All registered Croatian clubs must be members of the Croatian Karate Federation (HKS), and foreign clubs must be members of their national federations affiliated with the World Karate Federation (WKF). Competitors participate at their own risk, and it is recommended that they are insured against accidents. The organizer assumes no responsibility for any injuries sustained during the competition.
